The Stem Cell Transplant Unit at UVA Health is a specialized 15-room intermediate care unit dedicated to Cellular Therapy, Stem Cell Transplantation, and recovery. Nurses on this unit care for patients with hematologic malignancies and other complex conditions requiring advanced cellular therapies.
With a supportive 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts, nurses are able to provide highly specialized, patient-centered care while developing expertise at the forefront of hematology-oncology nursing.

As an Inpatient Charge Nurse, you'll combine your clinical expertise with leadership skills to support both patients and the nursing team in this highly specialized environment. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who enjoy mentoring colleagues, coordinating care, and helping teams succeed while remaining actively involved in clinical practice.
You will serve as a key resource for staff, facilitate daily operations, and help ensure safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing complex cellular therapies and stem cell transplantation.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $47.23 - $62.15 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
