Job summary

PeaceHealth in Springfield, Oregon is seeking a Professional Practice Leader for inpatient Cardiac Services at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend. You will lead transformative patient care, coach staff, and promote evidence‑based practice at the point of care.

You will conduct daily rounds, advance clinical quality and safety, and support education, mentorship, and governance across nursing. The role offers relocation assistance and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Minimum 5 years related nursing experience in inpatient cardiac units or ED/ICU/Cath lab.
• Minimum 2 years progressive leadership experience.
• Oregon State RN license required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ANCC certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for clinical quality, safety, care coordination and patient experience.
• Lead rapid improvement projects and ensure core measures are integrated into workflows.
• Develop sustainability models for interventions to improve outcomes.
• Integrate nursing model components and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Educate staff on research and evidence‑based practice at the point of care.
• Lead nursing governance councils and participate in interviews for new staff.
• Identify practice gaps and assess orientation, training and competency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
