Job summary

International Executive Service Corps is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to participate in observing, reporting, and recording patient behaviors and provide high quality patient care including assessment, psycho-diagnosis, and therapy planning. The role supports individual, family, and group therapies with discharge planning in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe unit operations, effective communication, and collaboration with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work as part of a treatment team and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed progress reports and records.
• Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with treatment team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient treatment plans.
• Apply physical intervention techniques as a last resort to prevent harm to patients and/or staff.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy.
• Provide case management and discharge planning.
• Complete psychosocial assessments timely.
• Maintain safety and structure of the milieu.
• Referral Development.
• Promotes customer service to patients, families, visitors, employees, physicians.
• Trained to respond to medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
