Job summary

Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care for adults and adolescents across inpatient and program areas. You will monitor patients, assist in admissions, and support treatment planning while helping to create a safe, therapeutic environment.

Shifts are varied (7a-7p, 7p-7a) with every-other weekend rotation, offering opportunities to work across units and participate in group therapy and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Psychology or related field.
• One year of direct work experience in behavioral health, including leading groups and de-escalation.
• Inpatient setting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and adolescents with a wide range of disorders.
• Monitor patients closely and conduct observation rounds.
• Participate in treatment planning by identifying problems, needs, and strengths.
• Assist in admission: vital signs, safety searches, specimen collection, orientation.
• Plan, prepare, and conduct group therapy programs for patients.
• Participate in hospital codes to support unit safety and shift operations.
