Job summary

Horizon Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Abbeville General Hospital psychiatry unit in Abbeville, LA. This 16-bed inpatient unit serves adults 18+. The RN will perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to provide compassionate, comprehensive care.

Qualifications include an active RN license, CPR/BLS/ACLS, and 1–3 years of nursing experience. This is a PRN opportunity based at the Abbeville, Louisiana facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required or preferred.
• Active and unrestricted RN license required.
• 1-3 years of nursing experience required.
• CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Crisis prevention experience (rexperience in text appears)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring for a 16-bed inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate and implement nursing care activities and therapies.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Conduct medication reconciliation and ensure patient safety.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure quality care.
