Job summary

University Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health Inpatient unit on a PRN, part-time basis in Kansas City, Missouri. You will provide high-quality nursing care during evening and night shifts, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to safety standards, and mentorship of students while supporting program evaluations and education initiatives.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care.
Work with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient outcomes.
Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
Supervise and mentor students.
Ensure compliance with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
