Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Milford, Delaware is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care within our inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment programs. You will work under medical provider supervision, administer medications, perform assessments, and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning to support patient safety and recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Delaware, has strong clinical assessment and documentation

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Delaware.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience; inpatient substance use/mental health care preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing standards for mental health and substance use.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to stay professional and composed in high-stress situations.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under medical provider supervision.
• Complete nursing assessments and admission documentation within set timeframes.
• Administer medications and provide education as indicated.
• Assess medical needs, determine urgency, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Monitor psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety; report changes.
• Transcribe and implement provider orders; collaborate with medical team.
• Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Support medication management and controlled substances processes.
• Maintain certifications and participate in staff education and meetings.
