Job summary

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician for a full-time contract position with a behavioral health hospital in Anchorage, AK. This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no weekend requirements. The assignment lasts at least six weeks and may extend based on staffing needs.

Active Alaska license required; inpatient/behavioral health experience preferred. You will manage inventory, prepare Omnicell deliveries, and support daily hospital

Qualifications

• Active Alaska Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Experience in acute care or behavioral health pharmacy preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage medication inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital pharmacy team.
• Commitment to medication safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication inventory, including ordering support, organization, and replenishment.
• Prepare and coordinate medication deliveries to Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.
• Restock and maintain medication supplies throughout the facility.
• Answer and appropriately direct calls from nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Assist pharmacists with daily inpatient pharmacy operations.
• Support safe and efficient medication distribution throughout the hospital.
• Maintain compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations and facility procedures.
