Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a Behavioral Health Facilitator to serve as a clinical and milieu leader on the inpatient unit, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for patients with complex behavioral and psychiatric needs.

The BHF provides advanced support in milieu management, group programming, crisis response, staff coaching, and family engagement, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Preferred inpatient behavioral health leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the therapeutic milieu and group programming during waking hours, ensuring consistent implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Develop, facilitate, and coach staff in evidence-based group programming and milieu interventions.
• Adapt the milieu to proactively manage disruptive or high-risk behaviors; provide real-time coaching during crises.
• Conduct patient rounds to monitor location, risk level, and mental status; communicate changes promptly to nursing.
• Lead shift assignments and delegate daily unit tasks, including environmental rounds, observation checks, and documentation oversight.
