Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Georgia seeks a Behavioral Health Counselor for GRHS in Savannah. Qualifications include a Master’s degree with four years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s with six years. Licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field AND Six years of related experience OR Two years of experience at the lower level Behavioral Hlth Counselor 2 (HCP101) or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams in an acute inpatient setting.
• Develop and implement strength-based treatment plans for patients.
• Review progress toward goals and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Enroll patients in psychosocial interventions to meet treatment and recovery needs.
• Review critical incident reports to assess safety and needed interventions.
