Job summary

MyStethi, LLC is seeking a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the inpatient program at Swedish Hospital and Evanston Hospital in the Chicago area.

The role is full-time with a 9am–5pm schedule and occasional evenings; on-call includes 6 weekends per year. Inpatient experience of 3+ years and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload are essential, with collaboration under established protocols and Medical Director oversight.

Qualifications

• 3+ years inpatient clinical experience preferred.
• 8+ patients per day including new admissions.
• Current Illinois APRN or PA licensure or pending.
• Active DEA registration with Schedule III prescribing authority.
• Eligible to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.
• Experience in psychiatry/addiction medicine/MAT/behavioral health preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care.
• Ability to work collaboratively under established protocols and Medical Director oversight.

Responsibilities

• Primary inpatient role: direct care of inpatient admissions.
• Clinical evaluation & management: chart reviews, initial evaluations, ongoing medication management.
• Physician collaboration: consult and discuss complex cases with physicians.
• Team communication: provide routine updates during staffings and collateral calls.
• Patient & family engagement: lead family meetings and oversee discharge planning.
