Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse for the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry unit at the College Hill Campus. This full‑time role involves day/evening rotating shifts, with a 0.8 FTE, and a starting pay range noted below.

You will provide direct patient care in a team-based setting, implement trauma-informed care, and participate in crisis intervention and safety planning.

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN with active Ohio license
• BSN/MSN preferred for advanced roles
• Foreign graduates must have license validated
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certification required during orientation

Responsibilities

• Milieu management and patient safety for pediatric psychiatric patients.
• Provide nursing care and clinical judgment across physical and mental health needs.
• Lead or support structured group programming andTherapeutic engagement.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory standards and documentation.
• Communicate and document assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration and student/onboarding processes.
• Advocate for culturally competent care and family-centered rounds.
