Job summary

Inova Anytime Primary Care seeks enthusiastic Advanced Practice Providers for a new after-hours PRN, fully remote role operating 7 days a week. The team is physician-led within a large Northern Virginia network, offering integrated care and access to Epic/MyChart for streamlined referrals.

Shifts include 5P-5A daily, with variations based on need; retirement contributions are matched, and opportunities exist to impact diverse patient populations including underserved groups.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, OR certificate from an education program accredited by relevant boards.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) on start.
• Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with state-specific requirements for Virginia.
• Payor Credentialing: Ability to complete credentialing with CMS/Medicare payors.
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of medical staff credentialing and privileges.

Inova Anytime Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct primary medical care
• Develop differential diagnoses
• Order laboratory studies
• Administer and prescribe treatments as appropriate
• Promote healthy lifestyles by advising patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Document patient information, both timely and accurately per protocol within EPIC
• Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with team members to proactively drive improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Mastersin Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, OR certificate from an education program that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing. For physician Assistants, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
• Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence) AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances)
• Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: 2 years of experience in primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine.
