Job summary

Children’s Day School is seeking a Third Grade Teacher for a January–April 2027 temporary long-term substitute position in San Francisco. You will co-teach with a partner in a collaborative lower school setting, implementing inquiry-based learning and grade-level curriculum while supporting diverse learners and families.

Qualifications

• BS/BA (required) in elementary education or related field.
• Experience with inquiry-based elementary teaching.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead development and implementation of grade-level curriculum.
• Plan with partner teacher, and grade-level teaching team.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse learning population.
• Provide coaching and feedback to a diverse population of students with conferences.
• Maintain classroom operations and curriculum documentation up to date.
• Ensure timely communication with parents/guardians through calls, emails, classroom blogs, and conferences.
• Pursue professional development aligned with professional goals and school-wide initiatives.
