Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer to support a complex PeopleSoft HCM environment in Arlington, VA. The role emphasizes OpenText UFT as the primary toolset to design, build, maintain, and run automated tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of software QA and test automation experience."

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for PeopleSoft HCM enhancements and patches.
• Build scalable, reusable UFT-based automation assets including libraries and data-driven scripts.
• Develop supporting scripts for test data management, environment setup, validation, and result verification.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across PeopleSoft HCM modules and interfaces.
• Analyze results, logs, and backend data to identify defects and distinguish script issues from application issues.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, business analysts, and support teams to improve automation coverage and efficiency.
• Maintain automated regression suites and ensure adherence to modularity and data strategy best practices.
• Support test environment readiness and contribute to framework improvements and tool evaluations.
