Job summary

UNOPS seeks an Advisor for Innovative and Sustainable Finance to originate and implement financing solutions within a global portfolio. The role blends financial expertise with development goals to drive transformative change across health, climate, energy, environment, and water and sanitation programs.

The adviser will engage senior stakeholders, develop ROI instruments, and shape new financial mechanisms, with a focus on Geneva and wider UNOPS portfolios.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in innovative and/or sustainable financing and related fields.
• Strong understanding of financing instruments, ROI and impact evaluation.
• Experience with multilateral organizations or development finance institutions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Research and landscape analysis of innovative and sustainable financing mechanisms.
• Stakeholder consultation with internal departments and external experts.
• Integrate frameworks into UNOPS corporate policies and risk management.
• Develop term-sheets, policy recommendations, and execution plans.
• Provide executive summaries and presentations to leadership.
