Job summary

Thirty-Five Capital in Wheeling, IL seeks a hands-on Product Development Engineer with 3-5 years in plastic and rubber molding to drive concept-to-production of sporting goods across pickleball, padel, baseball, hockey, and golf.

You will partner with the Senior R&D Engineer, collaborate with global manufacturing partners, and apply DFM, prototypes, testing, and validation to bring innovative products to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Materials/Product Design engineering or related.
• 3–5 years of product development or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD software.
• Experience with plastic injection molding, rubber molding, foamed materials.
• Experience creating drawings, BOMs, specifications, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, and validate new sporting goods products.
• Support all phases of the product development process from concept through commercialization.
• Collaborate with domestic and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure successful product launches.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering docs.
• Conduct design reviews and recommend improvements for performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• Assist in testing plans and validation activities.
