Job summary

The Lyon County School District is seeking a Secondary Teacher for Silver Stage High. The role carries a salary range of $50,761 to $92,279 annually, with employer-paid retirement and dependent on experience.

Employment terms are 9 months or 185/189 days, with an exempt salaried status under the Licensed Employee Salary Schedule. The teacher will implement curriculum aligned to Nevada standards, create a productive classroom environment, and report to the site administrator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education and be certified in the relevant subject area.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily instruction based on state standards and LCSD curriculum.
• Create and maintain an educational atmosphere that supports learning and district goals.
• Adhere to LCSD Professional Standards for Licensed Employees and report to the site administrator.
• Administer district curriculum aligned with Nevada standards and upcoming Common Core.
• Ensure a respectful learning environment and orderly instructional setting.
• Develop and implement effective lessons using LCSD templates.
• Analyze student progress and provide individualized instruction and feedback.
• Maintain compliance with IEPs and related mandates.
• Integrate technology into instructional programs and record-keeping.
