Job summary

Lyon County School District in Silverland Middle is seeking an Elementary Teacher to implement the Nevada Academic Content Standards and the LCSD curriculum. This role reports to the school site administrator and supports district programs.

The position is 9 months (185/189 days) and salaried, exempt, with a competitive salary based on experience. Responsibilities include creating engaging lessons, assessing student progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Must possess or be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education and be certified in the relevant subject area.

Responsibilities

Administer district curriculum aligned with Nevada State Standards and LCSD Curriculum.
Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused instructional environment.
Analyze student progress and provide individualized instruction and feedback.
Ensure compliance with IEPs and related mandates.
Integrate technology into lessons and maintain records in the student software system (e.g. Infinite Campus).
Participate in other job-related duties as assigned by the site administrator/supervisor.
