Job summary

Roselle School District 12 is seeking a Superintendent of Schools to begin on July 1, 2027. The district serves ~700 K-8 students across two campuses with a 17:1 student-to-teacher ratio and a strong staff of 54 certified educators, supported by a $12M operating budget.

The successful candidate will lead a district with Exemplary designation on the 2025 state report card, advancing academics, equity, and community partnerships while guiding finances and long-range planning.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for the Illinois Superintendent License.
• Knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
• Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and community engagement skills.
• Doctorate preferred.
• Experience overseeing capital projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the district.
• Oversee district budgeting, finance, facilities, and capital projects.
• Foster strong community engagement and partnerships with feeder districts and high schools.
• Champion student achievement with a data-driven, equity-focused approach.
