Job summary

Qualifications

• Significant electrical engineering skills to understand hardware and significant software development skills to design and implement control/calibration/correction features.
• Evidence of end-to-end design and implementation of software controlling/calibrating/correcting circuits in 20GHz-200GHz range with robust testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to control, calibrate and apply corrections to complex optical and electrical instrument hardware, working with a multi-functional, global team to invent and develop new time-domain measurement instruments.
• Learn hardware architecture of sampling oscilloscopes and design software to control hardware for data acquisitions with robustness and flexibility.
• Work with hardware designers to implement software interfaces to optical/electrical frontends and front-end sub-systems, plus clock recovery/PLL design 20–200 GHz.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to integrate designs into new instruments and mentor others as a technical leader.
• Document and present measurement IP and test methodologies to R&D and cross-functional partners.
• Support customers and participate in product lifecycle from concept to shipment; ensure manufacturability and high performance.
