Responsibilities

• Identifies or develops long- and short-term plans based on student needs aligned with District and State curriculum requirements.
• Plans and prepares lessons and instructional strategies supporting the school improvement plan and district mission.
• Plans and prepares activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
• Selects and develops instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
• Assists in preparing for changing curriculum needs and continuous improvement.
• Maintains a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Establishes effective behavior-management techniques and enforces school rules and policies.
• Maintains accurate student records in compliance with FERPA and district policies.
• Releases with volunteers and aides when assigned; supervises and guides instructional support staff.
• Uses assessment strategies to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Education
