Formación

• Master’s degree in educational guidance or related field.
• Alabama school counseling certificate.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
• Budget management and development of counseling programs.
• Proficient with technology for communication, instruction, reporting, and data management.
• Physical strength, mobility, and regular attendance.
• Alternatives to qualifications may be required by the Board.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates support for the school system and its goals.
• Conducts counseling and guidance activities in classrooms with staff collaboration.
• Consults with teachers to integrate counseling content into curriculum.
• Collaborates to assist students’ transition to middle school.
• Provides orientation for incoming students and parents.
• Uses technology to plan instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters.
• Attends staff development programs and serves on committees.
• Plans and conducts staff development and parent conferences.
• Communicates with administrators, teachers, students, parents and community about the counseling program.
