Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5–10 years of directly related experience or training.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with engineering design of mechanical/electromechanical products and systems.
• Proficiency in using software for presenting analytical results (e.g., Excel, charts, graphs).

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and thermal/hydraulic systems.
• May plan and direct other engineers in fabrication and testing of products or systems.
• Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure conformance to design and customer specifications.
• Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to maximize equipment utilization.
• Interfacing machines, hardware, and software; identifies design modifications to prevent malfunctions.
