Responsibilities

• Assist a fulltime Mechanical Engineer with mechanical design, hydraulics, drivetrains, motors, simulation analysis, or testing procedures.
• Assist in designing and developing forklifts and material handling equipment focusing on one area (mechanical design, hydraulics, drivetrains, motors, simulation, or testing).
• Create layouts of proposed designs ensuring functionality, safety, reliability, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and ergonomic considerations.
• Propose hydraulic systems to meet performance goals and oversee development activities for systems and components.
• Perform analysis of gear drives, including gears, bearings, shafts, and housings for various operating conditions.
• Conduct structural or stability analysis using FEA and fatigue life prediction tools.
