Job summary

nVent in Fulton, MO is seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop product layouts, 3D CAD models, and detailed documentation for new and existing products. You will lead design activities, perform tolerance analyses, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to deliver robust assemblies while supporting ECOs and BOM development.

This role requires a two-year technical degree and 3+ years of drafting/build experience, with proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Enovia.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in drafting or building is preferred.
• Ideally 3+ years of experience in mechanical drafting/build.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build product designs and documentation for new and existing products, ensuring flawless layouts and BOMs.
• Independently develop detailed product layouts and assemblies.
• Create 3D CAD models using Inventor, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Guide fabrication of components for prototypes and pilot builds.
• Perform tolerance stack analyses before documentation release.
• Develop ECOs and drive documentation for product changes.
