Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive design from inception to production, including redesigns of existing products. The role covers analysis, 3D modeling, BOM management, and cross‑functional collaboration with production and purchasing teams.

The position requires strong mathematical and analytical skills, proficiency with Solid Works and Draft Sight, and a track record of delivering reliable, cost‑effective designs. A manufacturing background and drug screen are valued.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of related experience and/or training preferred, not required.
• Experience in designing for a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Job offers are contingent upon passing a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Review customer source control drawings, specification control drawings, and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and feasibility of the component.
• Perform calculations such as stress analysis, performance analysis, pressure drop and flow analysis as required.
• Develop 3D modeled designs with drawings, BOMs, and other data to support manufacturing processes.
• Prepare preliminary design proposal(s).
• Interacts with production to define and solve manufacturing/design issues and implement cost-reduction ideas.
• Liaise between engineering and manufacturing operations for related issues, problems, or improvements.
• Define problem areas and implement product improvements based on customer repair/rejection concerns.
• Participate in engineering and design reviews; refine designs after review meetings.
• Prepare proposal documentation and technical data such as qualification/acceptance procedures and manuals.
• Interact with customers on engineering design to meet specifications and address questions.
• Coordinate with internal groups including purchasing, quality control, sales, production, accounting, metal finishing, and assembly.
• Advise Supervisor of work status, workload, problems, and progress.
