Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, systems or materials engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant mechanical or aerospace engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software with complex parametric models and assemblies.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles including GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and develop mechanical and aerospace systems for diverse applications, including ground vehicles, aircraft, and advanced materials.
• Create complex CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, ensuring GD&T compliance.
• Perform advanced calculations and analyses for material selection, tolerances, and stress analysis.
• Lead prototype manufacturing efforts, including planning and coordination with shop technicians and vendors.
• Develop and execute testing procedures to validate designs and ensure safety and performance.
• Analyze test results and recommend design modifications or improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage tasks, scheduling, costs, and progress.
• Ensure designs comply with DoD standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
