Job summary

Imperative Care in Campbell, California is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our on-site team. You will drive manufacturability, support tech transfer from design to production, and enable scalable manufacturing of complex electromechanical capital equipment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2+ years of related experience, with knowledge of QA/regulatory systems and strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; 2+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of and exposure to product testing and data collection.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with quality systems (FDA QSR, ISO 13485, MDD).
• Experience in pilot/production line setup and validation in a controlled environment preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP, GDP procedures and requirements.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; strong project management is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prototyping for new products or enhancements.
• Support in-house manufacturing to verify conformance to plans and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for material availability and inventory control.
• Develop MPI/LHR/DHR documents in collaboration with R&D and Quality.
• Conduct time studies and drive process development initiatives.
• Define in-process inspections and testing with Quality to resolve issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams from concept to clinical testing.
• Maintain and monitor manufacturing tasks against project timelines and budgets.
• Participate in manufacturing meetings and foster team relationships.
• Coordinate tooling/equipment needs for cost-effective manufacturing.
• Facilitate smooth tech transfer from design to manufacturing.
