Job summary

Gann Academy in Waltham, MA seeks an experienced Jewish Studies teacher to cover leave for the second semester of 2026-2027, January through June 2027. The role includes teaching three Jewish Studies courses and contributing to our experiential education program.

Qualifications

• Background in Jewish studies and/or knowledge of Jewish texts and traditions.
• Proficiency in English with strong communication skills.
• Experience working with teens, ideally in youth programs.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach three Jewish Studies courses (two Bible/Talmud, one thematic).
• Contribute to experiential Jewish Education programs (Tefilah, Shabbat, Holidays, Student Leadership).
• Collaborate across departments and support substitute coverage when needed.
• Engage with students outside class and communicate with families.
