Job summary

ContractStaffingRecruiters.com is seeking an Instrumentation / Fire Alarm Engineer in Boise, Idaho to design and oversee I&C and Life Safety systems for complex facilities.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited engineering degree, an EIT certification, and at least 4 years of hands-on experience with I&C/LSS, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control narratives, and PLC/DCS knowledge. Strong collaboration and regulatory knowledge are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited program in Electrical, Fire Protection, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / Life Safety Systems (LSS).
• Ability to generate complete I&C/LSS design packages (e.g. P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.) with minimal supervision/oversight.
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
• Working knowledge of Fire Alarm and Life Safety System regulations/requirements.
