Job summary

Required is a Bachelor's degree in Education and eligibility for or holding a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in a teaching content area; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with the Wake County Public School System curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and the district.
• Uses instructional strategies that promote critical and creative thinking.
• Implements teaching materials that reflect students’ cultures, learning styles, and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Maintains a classroom management system that fosters a positive learning environment.
• Plans, aligns, implements, and evaluates instruction in diverse learning environments.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community, and other stakeholders to improve classroom experiences.
• Integrates appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures that protect students and staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
