Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Must hold Indiana State Teacher's License or be eligible for a license for the corresponding age/grade level.
• 2 years of teaching experience.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships effectively with families and students.
• Experience developing and implementing curriculum.
• Physical ability to sit, move and engage in a classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities.
• Post syllabus, projects/lessons, and grades to the server accessible to students, parents, and the community.
• Maintain a classroom environment consistent with codes of conduct and conducive to positive learning.
• Use rubric-based assessment to evaluate student progress and adapt programs.
• Communicate openly with families, co-workers, supervisors, and staff regarding student progress.
• Provide progress reports as required and monitor student achievements.
• Communicate electronically with students, parents, and staff about progress, attendance, and behavior.
• Attend conferences/workshops for professional development.
• Collaborate with other personnel to improve instructional programs and school operations.
• Create a safe, respectful classroom and school environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
