Position Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and forward-thinking chemist to join our team remotely. In this role, you’ll refine and enhance our current product formulas and develop new groundbreaking formulations that align with our values. While this is a remote position, we provide access to a lab facility for development as needed. This is your opportunity to drive meaningful change and make an impact in the world of sustainable and safe household products.

What You’ll Do

• Research, develop, and optimize formulas for household cleaning products that meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and eco-friendliness.
• Develop standards for industry accreditants.
• Evaluate raw materials to ensure compliance with Truly Free’s strict safety and environmental criteria.
• Collaborate remotely with the product development, marketing, compliance teams and suppliers and co-manufacturers to bring innovative product ideas to life.
• Conduct testing and analysis using a dedicated lab facility provided by Truly Free when required.
• Execute directional testing in home, when required.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory requirements related to nontoxic and sustainable ingredients.
• Document formulations and processes to maintain clear records of your work.
• Develop a strategy that keeps our formulations up to date with our requirements amidst regulatory changes and shifts.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to be creative, forward-thinking, and proactive with solutions and options.
• Experience: Proven track record of formulating household cleaning products, personal care items, or similar products.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of green chemistry, nontoxic ingredients, and sustainable practices.
• Skills: Analytical mindset with a creative approach to problem-solving; strong attention to detail.
• Passion: Commitment to health, sustainability, and creating products that genuinely make a difference.
• Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
