A small aerospace engineering firm in Newport News, Virginia, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects. Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of demonstrated experience in mechanical design & drafting.
• Experience working with government contracts.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware design and development.
• Perform tests on aircraft and aerospace systems and equipment.
• Draft engineering drawings for manufacturing.

Skills

Understanding of GD&T

Proficiency in SolidWorks

Knowledge of design/drafting/CAD

Excellent verbal and written skills
