Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for lessons and units.
• Employ instructional methods and materials that meet stated objectives.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide reports as required.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and maintaining classroom order.
• Plan and supervise duties for teacher assistants and evaluate their performance.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and support the school’s vision.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in committees as assigned.
• Perform related duties as required by the Principal.
