Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
• Current Indiana Teaching License.
• Knowledgeable in equitable instructional practices.
• Knowledgeable in cross curricular literacy instruction.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective lessons.
• Provide support for academic, behavioral, social emotional, and adaptive needs.
• Prepare lessons with the learners' needs in mind.
• Design activities to meet learning objectives.
• Respect students and treat them with compassion.
• Develop educational content including notes, assessments, and assignments.
• Progress monitor goals and maintain data tracking.
• Supervise classes to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, staff, and parents.
• Organize supplies and equipment.
• Deliver individualized instruction and encourage interactive learning.
• Plan and implement educational activities beyond IEP when appropriate.
• Prepare and distribute progress, grade, and semester reports.
• Plan and attend case conferences.
• Provide services to students within classroom or resource room.
• Establish positive communication with parents.
