Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Kyle, TX seeks a 10th Grade Chemistry and Physics Teacher for the 2026-2027 year. The teacher will implement state standards and IDEA curricula, deliver grade-level content, and use data to inform lesson plans and student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred
• State certification preferred but not required
• Strong content-area knowledge and ability to pass IDEA content assessment

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments
• Deliver content and grade-level curricula, core content objectives and texts
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Track student progress with formal and informal assessments and adjust plans accordingly
• Communicate student progress with students and families on a weekly basis
• Support school-wide behavior management and contribute to positive classroom culture
