Job summary

Vertiv’s Innovation Lab is seeking an Engineering Intern to support cutting-edge power and thermal management projects, and to help apply AI tools to boost productivity and knowledge sharing within the lab.

You will work with engineers on test workflows, learn lab testing operations, and gain exposure to AI-enabled engineering practices in a fast-paced setting.

• Evaluate and improve AI assistant performance through prompt engineering, retrieval optimization, and user feedback analysis.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong problem-solving skills, and an interest in learning how emerging AI technologies can enhance engineering productivity, knowledge sharing, and decision-making.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats
• Willingness to learn quickly in a hands‑on, fast-paced environment and deliver high‑quality work
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting
• Strong foundation in mechanical/electrical engineering fundamentals, with the ability to apply first-principles reasoning and systems thinking to analyze complex, interconnected systems.
