Job summary

Target is seeking a Manager, Innovation Engine, to lead portfolio initiatives and support system-wide innovation efforts in a hybrid work setting in Maryland. You will drive learning plans, document best practices, and partner with senior leaders to test new business models and guest experiences.

You will analyze competitive landscapes, coordinate workshops, and help accelerate experiments from concept to viable offerings, leveraging Target's vast resources and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4-12 months college degree in design, Engineering, business, or associated discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Not less than 4+ years of experience in innovation, innovation project management, or innovation operations in a corporate setting with an experimentation mindset.
• Strong software and organizational abilities.
• Familiar with innovation methodologies (design thinking, lean startup, agile, etc.).
• Practical problem-solving skills with strategic thinking and execution.

Responsibilities

• Support active projects and analyze market landscapes for startups and innovators.
• Collaborate to develop new ideas and facilitate innovation workshops.
• Gather evidence from experiments to assess desirability, feasibility, and viability of ideas.
• Manage and maintain the Owned brand innovation environment, including intake, projects, dashboards, and contracts.
• Document best practices and contribute to the Owned Brand Innovation Engine Playbook.
