Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Lead RN for the Innovation Design Unit to drive nursing innovation across projects, pilots and new care models. The role focuses on advancing patient outcomes and staff well-being within a collaborative environment.

You will partner with IDU leadership to design, test, and implement innovative care solutions, mentor staff, and coordinate nursing care with other providers to meet diverse patient needs. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 18 months current clinical experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills required.
Ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or compact state license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association required.
Ability to demonstrate interprofessional collaboration, flexibility, patient-centered care, professionalism, accountability, and drive for improvement required.

Responsibilities

Drive innovation through active involvement in projects, pilots and processes that support optimal patient outcomes and colleague well-being.
Develop and lead the Innovation Design Unit, including processes from idea generation to project implementation.
Motivate and coach staff to drive innovation and foster continuous improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify opportunities for innovation in patient care.
Coordinate resources for patient care delivery and ensure timely communication among care teams.
