Amazon.com Services LLC in Nashville is seeking an Innovation and Design Engineer to lead design of high-performance fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects from concept through approval and hand-off to execution.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with experience in design/innovation, manufacturing, or industrial engineering. You will collaborate across internal and external teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in management of engineering design projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple facility designs from selection to launch for the Operations team.
• Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain.
• Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for multiple networks through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions in very short periods of time.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects.
