Job summary

Mars is seeking an Innovation & Portfolio Compliance Manager to ensure compliant, on-time product launches across North America. You will validate formulas, packaging, and labeling for regulatory accuracy and act as the primary regulatory checkpoint for finished products.

You will collaborate with R&D, design, and PM to guide new product development, maintain regulatory risk registers, and review claims and content for compliance. This role protects brands and supports timely market entry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (Animal Science, Food Science, Nutrition, or related).
• 5+ years in regulatory, QA, or product deployment in pet food, human food, or related CPG industry.
• Experience with product commercialization processes including formulation and packaging/labeling review.
• Knowledge of AAFCO, FDA, and/or CFIA regulations preferred.
• High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the regulatory deliverables for an assigned portfolio of innovation and renovation projects.
• Provide regulatory advice for product deployment, including claim validation and final regulatory review of packaging artwork.
• Maintain a current knowledge base of regulations for North America (AAFCO, FDA, CFIA) and assist in risk mitigation.
• Support R&D and Product Design with regulatory guidance during new product development.
• Assist in compiling scientific dossiers and strategic defense to support product registration.
• Other duties to support a compliant North American product portfolio.
