Inn Public Area Attendant - Full Time, 2nd Shift

Job Description
The starting pay range for this position begins at $16.32/hour and is based on qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Full Time: a position working 35+ hours per week.

The Public Area Attendant will maintain and clean public areas within Biltmore standards at the Inn on Biltmore Estate and offer exceptional guest service. Duties include upkeep and presentation of bathrooms, hallways, employee areas, pool area, terraces, verandas, fitness center, etc.; dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, and sanitizing bathrooms; and responsibility for floor care, ash urns, outdoor furniture, and pool supply replenishments. Deep cleaning projects may also be required.

Schedules: Typically 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Requirements:

• Previous custodial/janitorial/housekeeping experience preferred, especially in upscale/luxury hotels or resorts
• Commitment to world-class guest service and teamwork
• Attention to detail and efficiency
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
• Proactive, able to anticipate guest needs
• Ability to work independently, under deadlines, with good judgment

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, carry, push, and pull 25–50 pounds frequently
• Climb stairs and ladders; perform various physical movements
• Work in variable conditions, including outdoor environments with temperature fluctuations and exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals

Essential Job Duties:

• Clean public areas to departmental standards with attention to detail
• Use chemicals, tools, and equipment properly
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures
• Sanitize bathrooms, drinking fountains, and outdoor areas
