Job Description

The starting pay range for this position begins at $16.32/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Full Time: a position averaging 35+ hours a week

The Housekeeping Houseperson at the Inn on Biltmore Estate is responsible for assisting and supporting room attendants in maintaining guest areas and rooms according to hotel and four star/diamond standards. Duties include removing and storing dirty linen and trash, providing room attendants with supplies, and handling guest deliveries and requests.

Shift: 8:30am – 5:30pm (shift varies based on hotel occupancy). Weekend shifts are required.

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, or related experience preferred
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping and room operations preferred
• Commitment to delivering excellent guest service and anticipating needs
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling helpful
• Ability to multi-task, work in teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively
• Attention to detail, proactivity, and good judgment
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate cleaning equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Endure physical movements like kneeling, stooping, reaching, and standing for long periods
