Classic Packaging Company in Pfafftown, NC is seeking a flexographic printer to maintain ink consistency and high-quality print results across three wide-web presses and a hybrid laminator/press. You will mix, match, and manage solvent-based inks, ensuring colors meet standards while collaborating with shift supervisors and press operators to optimize runs.

Responsabilités

• Maintain acceptable production levels and high quality while operating machinery safely.
• Check all safety functions at shift start to ensure safe operation.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• Complete all paperwork and computer entries accurately.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; stay in designated area.
• Inform supervisor of needs or suggestions.
• Mix and match inks.
• Operate Flexographic Press.
• Ink inventory management.
• Provide presses with proper inks.
• Comply with safety requirements, including PPE.

Job Overview

This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. As a flexographic printer Classic Packaging relies on our presses to make sure the highest quality images appear on the packaging that we produce. A critical aspect of this is ensuring that our presses are properly inked, and colors are matched precisely. Successful employees will be charged with mixing, matching, and maintaining inks (solvent-based) for three wide-web presses and one hybrid laminator/press during assigned shift. Will be expected to match inks (AE1.o or under) prior to hitting press using ink dispenser, color standards, Techkon/ChromaQA color matching system, Zahn cups and Harper manual proofer table with an assortment of anilox. Work with shift supervisors and press operators to ensure high-quality, efficient press runs.

Duties

Includes, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain acceptable production levels and quality of product while operating machine in the safest manner possible.
• Must check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.
• You must stay in your work area, and it must be clean and orderly.
• Advise supervisor of any needs or suggestions.

• Supplying presses with proper inks.
• Comply with all safety requirements, including wearing PPE.
• Safely operate variety of material moving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

Salary: $16.00 -$18.00 per hour
