Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is seeking a capable technician to support equipment setup and change-overs, and contribute to the development of efficient manufacturing procedures.

The role includes recording and reporting quality, inventory, and production data, while maintaining a clean and safe work area. You should have a BS or AS with relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with hands-on lab/manufacturing experience.
• Experience safely handling chemicals and materials in manufacturing favored.
• Proficient with QA equipment like viscometers and balances.
• Strong Excel skills and data reporting abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, change-over, and perform low-level maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in developing manufacturing procedures for efficient processes.
• Record, maintain and report quality, inventory, and production data.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision.

Job description

• Perform equipment set up / change-over / low level maintenance
• Assist in development of manufacturing procedures to create the most efficient processes
• Record, maintain and report quality, inventory and production data
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Other related duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• BS in Science or Engineering or AS with 2 years lab or manufacturing experience
• Experience with safely handling chemicals and materials preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Quality Assurance equipment like viscometers, balances, etc
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft excel is a must
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in team environment
• Able to troubleshoot chemical lab equipment
• Able to timely and accurately complete tasks with minimum supervision
