Job summary

Flint Group in Bowling Green, KY is seeking an Ink Technician to safely prepare and support ink production for our printing customers. You will deliver press-ready inks, perform quality checks, and help maintain production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include weighing, blending, color control with X-Rite equipment, and maintaining accurate records while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in printing, ink manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and color accuracy.

• Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S principles.
• Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to support production schedules.
• Perform quality checks, including color control using X-Rite or similar equipment.
• Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records.
• Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations for upcoming production.
• Manage ink inventory levels, ensuring proper stock and minimizing excess.
• Follow and support work-off ink processes to reduce waste.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ink Technician is responsible for safely performing all aspects of ink preparation and support to ensure the successful operation of the customer’s production environment. This role supports customer performance by delivering high-quality, press-ready inks while adhering to Flint Group’s corporate policies, safety standards, and core values.
