Resource Label Group is seeking an experienced Ink Technician to blend press-ready inks and ensure customer specifications are met. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely production in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has ink mixing experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with measuring tools. Previous label or packaging industry exposure is a plus, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year ink mixing and color matching experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read a ruler and use scales with high attention to detail.
  • Experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging or similar industry preferred.
  • Must frequently lift up to 50 pounds; use of mechanical aids as needed.
  • Basic computer skills and good vision including color vision.

Responsibilities

  • Weighs and blends inks to meet job specifications for each order.
  • Follows quality control and inspection processes to ensure ink quality.
  • Prepares and maintains records to produce press-ready inks on schedule.
  • Tests ink samples and documents results.
  • May adjust inks at press and assist with ink estimation for jobs.
  • Maintains ink handling and storage to prevent waste.
  • Assists in reviewing long-term ink usage schedules and special orders.
  • Reviews finished matches for suitability and sustainability of returns.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, talented Ink Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently blending press-ready inks to correctly fulfill customer's specifications. The ideal candidate will operate with a high level of attention to detail at all times. Previous experience in a printing, packaging or similar industry is highly preferred, label experience is a huge plus!

Responsibilities
  • Weighs and blends inks to meet the job specifications for each order.
  • Follows appropriate quality control and inspection process for inks to ensure quality.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and documentation to produce press-ready inks to meet production schedule.
  • Tests ink samples and documents result.
  • May adjust inks at press and assists with ink estimation for jobs going to press.
  • Maintains the work-off ink process by regulating use and storage.
  • Assists in the ordering process by reviewing the long-term schedule to predict ink usage and identify special orders.
  • Reviews suitability of finished matches on press.
  • Reviews sustainability of press returns ink for recycling.

  • No Known Allergic reactions to UV inks and coatings.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • At least one year ink mixing and color matching experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read a ruler and use scales and other measuring devices with high attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, printing, packaging or similar industry experience strongly preferred.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance; loads over 50 pounds require the use of mechanical devices or other personnel.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
