Job summary

Qualified Staffing in Chester, VA is hiring for a Warehouse Associate – Press Department, Ink Technician, full-time with rotating shifts. Duties include preparing inks, solvents, and varnishes to customer specs, and replenishing supplies to presses. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain ink production equipment, including dispensing systems, pumps, solvents, and varnishes, ensuring proper setup and function per specifications.
• Mix and adjust inks and solvents to maintain proper color and viscosity, ensuring consistent ink quality throughout production.
• Replenish and monitor ink supply to presses, maintaining color accuracy and flow, and reporting any performance issues.
• Manage inventory of inks, including consignment and work-off materials, and complete all related documentation accurately.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials and waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas, ensuring proper storage, grounding, and use of lifting equipment when necessary.
• Support press operations by assisting the press crew and ensuring ink-related equipment is clean and ready for use.
• Promote a positive work environment by adhering to quality standards, participating in training efforts, and supporting safety initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned
